WeQuest

What we do

WeQuest is a decentralised app that aims at rebooting the sharing economy into a single platform owned by its users. Based on their location, it allows local demands to connect with offers. For each indexed need, WeQuest creates a legal digital cooperative and makes it accessible to anyone in a distributed ledger (blockchain).  Neighbouring providers can easily join the global cooperative, and collaborate with others to fulfil the local requests, in return of credits and reputation points. They can then use these credits to request other services from other cooperatives, thus fuelling other on-demand jobs.

Our social impact

We aim to create an inclusive, digital sharing economy, where everyone can participate, independent of race, nationality, gender, social class, etc..

Existing ‘Sharing economy’ companies like Airbnb, Uber, TaskRabbit are nothing more than a new middleman sitting between a buyer and seller capturing outsized value. With WeQuest, we aim to use Blockchain to the seamless peer-to-peer exchange of assets and value, reducing the need for trust brokers in the middle of a market extracting economic rent. Ultimately, we aim to reboot sharing economy initiatives giving the ownership back to the people sharing their unused assets.

The stakeholders of each open cooperative are both producers and consumers (prosumers).

This allows everyone to choose how to participate and contribute to fulfill the needs of the community.  Different providers can now tap from the same demand index, creating a massive collaboration and competition based on quality (reviews) and distance from the request (geo-fencing).

As it is more convenient and rewarding to close source products, local business will have a much higher chance of being selected rather than the global provider.

By putting the human needs at the center of the economy, our system is able to create perfect competition at a local and global scale. Globally adopting such system has repercussions which shake the very root of our market economy.

Overall, our solution enables a more efficient connection between local and global demands and offer, thus a highly dynamic and prioritized job market for the fulfillment of local and global needs.
