What we do
BECCA gives hints and tips in easy-to-use flashcards on a range of categories, from managing symptoms to finding inspiration for healthy meals, and directing to further information elsewhere on the web. It provides a safe and comforting space to turn to when people need it most.
Our social impact
It can be difficult to go back to 'normal' life once active treatment for breast cancer ends. Many go on to have hormone treatment for years afterwards, inducing menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and fatigue.
While those around them expect life to go back to how it was before diagnosis, this is when the impact of the disease can hit hardest, and almost a third of women experience depression once active treatment for breast cancer ends.
BECCA aims to give trusted information, approved by a clinical team of breast care nurses, and emotional support, also sharing stories from those who have had breast cancer. Through this, BECCA hopes to give people the tools they need to adapt to life after breast cancer treatment.
