What we do
Unfortunately, innovation is surrounded by misconceptions. It is really difficult to prosper whenever any of these are believed as being correct so make sure that you do not trust such statements.
For Innovation To Be Successful It Needs To Be Completely Different Than Market Products
The truth is that when there is something that is completely different than what is already present on the market, it will be very difficult to reference a product. As an example, when the RIM initially appeared with the Blackberry the initial name was called two-way pager since people were completely aware of what the pager was, although not much understanding about mobile email devices was present.
The Most Important Thing Is Major Innovation
In most of the situations we do not see major or catastrophic innovation. The truth is that innovation happens one step at a time. A great process that innovates inside a company is normally a collection of simple steps that move towards something better. A planned action course is necessary for every single possible project.
All People Love Change
Most people in the world will tell you that they love change but reality is that when changing should happen, most will just prefer what is happening right now. For changes to become reality there should be enough pleasure for change. That is difficult to happen. Temporary pain will always be present and it has to be taken into account. As an example, when changing from a 029 number to VoIP, the staff has to learn how to use something new, just like people learn how to use new cameras as opposed to old ones.
Innovation Is Led By Creative People, Experts And Management
This is, perhaps, the most common misconception associated with innovation at the moment. There is this belief that only some people can create innovation and that they are in higher management positions, experts or highly creative. In reality, some of the world’s best ever innovations appeared from people that were close to the customers that used a product. In many cases we see innovation appearing from those that have a completely different job, with innovation being an accident happening in some specific situations.
Innovation Is Always Good
Simply because you managed to innovate something does not mean that this is the best thing for that product or service. There are actually countless innovations that are never or should never be used. It is a guarantee you surely heard about various innovations that were very funny and that you laughed at. Countless products should have never actually appeared. Just think about the motorized ice cream cone as an example. It is a product that does not offer any real benefit and it is not selling really well. Innovation is only rarely good. You have to be sure that you think about whether or not innovation is going to actually be good for customers or if it will be useless.
