Should Small Companies Still Put Time and Energy into Their Status on Facbeook?
Is Facebook still a decent place to go for developing Search Engine Optimisation Surrey? Many experts suggest that Facebook is on its last legs. Usage has definitely decreased, as the numbers paint a rather dire situation for the veteran social media giant. But, is this just an expected and natural part of “growing up?” Is Facebook going to be relevant for another few years? The story of Facebook's demise may be exaggerated or misplaced.
Less Activity, Just as Many Profiles
Interestingly, Facebook has shown decreased numbers. But, it is insightful to know what these numbers reflect. Though Facebook usage is decreasing, the number of profiles is not. With this in mind, just as many people are on Facebook, but not as many are actively using it as often.
The presumption here is that people are not exactly willing to let go of their profile, despite the fact that they are using the system less. What this means for marketing on Facebook is yet to be realized, but it does mean that the astounding usage numbers are dipping.
Less Usage is Inevitable
Of course, an argument can be made that Facebook would inevitably be less active. The itch of social media has lessened. It is less of a groundbreaking new innovation and a little more of the same. Marketing experts should not have expected the astounding usage rates to continue as they were. It was unsustainable.
Now, Facebook could be settling into a modest bout of stability, which makes marketing more predictable. Subsequently, it makes marketing easier to budget for and to connect acquisition rates with money with a little more consistency. Team leaders can have a better idea of what to expect in the results.
Web Design Surrey should still incorporate Facebook. Marketers should still have a window from Facebook to the main website. But, the fact that the website is the main portal has never changed, even in the highest days of Facebook’s success. Most efforts should direct back to acquisition and support, and that has little bearing on whether Facebook is slowly decaying or finding some stability in its later years.
