TinkerinQ FabLab Houten is the first open makerspace (with two locations) in the centre of the city Houten in the Netherlands.
TinkerinQ FabLab Houten has at disposal: various 3D printers including 2 Ultimakers and 3 Malyans, 2 Full Spectrum laser cutters and a CNC milling, a vinyl cutter, heat press, a 3D scanner and several other small digital devices.
On Monday morning and on Wednesday afternoon we have an open access.
We mean to introduce the new 21st century digital production techniques to the inhabitants in our region by demonstrating and making the equipment available. Also we have a partnership with the Library in Houten, with which we want to promote and teach about these modern techniques at schools in Houten and in the region.
Our intention is furthermore to become a sustainable Fablab. Therefore we are working on sustainable energy and recycling of raw materials, This way we want to demonstrate and promote sustainability in our region. We are open for any kind of cooperation in this field.
