The coming together of social and technological innovation is changing the way solutions are proposed around care systems. New subjects have come into play and are bringing to life some of the most significant changes in recent decades, similar to what we have seenin the media and in information.
The broad definition of "digital social innovation" promoted by the European Commission for the past three years helps to describe a new area in which digital technologies are used to tackle societal challenges and to promote alternative models to that of information centralisation, data and resources in the hands of a few major players in the technology industry. The issue of centralisation and decentralisation of care is crucial and requires public debate to raise citizens' awareness of technologies' implications.
During Milan Digital Week three fablabs WeMake, Opendot and TheFablab organize a round table and three workshops to start a conversation open to citizenship to which we invite you to participate. The initiative is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Horizon2020 program in particular on the projects DSI4EU and Made4U.
The event will be hosted by the Milan Luiss Hub for Makers and Students (via D’Azeglio 3 Milano, MM2 Porta Garibaldi).
